Dalby Hundeskov

In Dalby, in South Zealand a little north of Faxe and south of Køge, you will find Dalby Hundeskov. It is a publicly accessible dog park consisting of a fenced area of about 1.2 hectares, which is just under two large football pitches. The landscape in Dalby Hundeskov is varied, with open grassland as well as zones of large bushes and trees that give dogs plenty of opportunity to sniff and explore. The grass is mown regularly as needed. From the eastern side of the wood there is an open, unobstructed view across the surrounding fields. The area also has practical facilities for visitors, including picnic tables with benches for a break and rubbish bins to keep the place tidy and free of dog mess. There is an information board at the entrance, which you are encouraged to read when you arrive. If you come by car, there are specific parking instructions for the area. Visitors are asked mainly to park in the gravel car park on Sneholmgårdsvej, right by the local sewage treatment plant. Alternatively, you may park along Sneholmgårdsvej, provided you fully comply with the general rules of the traffic law (færdselsloven). Please show consideration for the neighbours and other road users, and do not park so that your car is a danger or nuisance to others. From the parking area and the adjoining path system, there is easy access to the dog park through the entrances and exits in the fence.
