Dog parks in and near Karlslunde

Karlslunde lies on the coast of Køge Bugt south of Copenhagen (København), where coastal meadows, the open bay landscape and the green corridors towards Hedeland give plenty of room for long walks with your dog. The town combines nature close to town with a short distance to both coast and woods, so your daily walk is rarely the same two days in a row.

In and around Karlslunde you will find a handful of woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks within a short drive. The large Hedeland area with the fenced Hedeland Hundepark offers hilly terrain and lots of open space, while Karlstrup Skov by Karlstrup Kalkgrav gives shade and forest floor under the trees.

Several of the places are fenced and have room for agility, and there are also puppy-friendly fenced dog areas for the smallest dogs.

Karlslunde Strand lies right on Køge Bugt, and on the ordinary beach your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September; only in the winter half of the year, from 1 October to 31 March, may it run off-lead under full control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year, so check the signs before you head down to the water.

Outside the bathing season, the long stretch of coast is perfect for fresh air and wet paws.
