Dog parks in and near Hedehusene

Hedehusene lies west of Copenhagen (København), with the open Hedeland as its nearest neighbour - a large nature and leisure area created on old gravel pits, with hills, lakes and scrub. Despite being close to the capital, there is plenty of air, views and paths to walk. That makes the town a surprisingly green place to have a dog.

In and around Hedehusene you will find several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks, with the fenced Hedeland Hundepark as an obvious meeting point for the town's dog owners. There are both large fenced dog parks, where your dog can run free and play with other dogs, and wooded areas such as Gulddysse Skov with trees, shade and a network of paths.

One private option gives extra peace for training and play in a smaller group.

Hedehusene is not a coastal town, but in return there is plenty of access to woodland, scrub and the hilly terrain of Hedeland. Here you can take long walks through varied nature, and several of the dog parks have plenty of room for both ball games and running. The shade of the woods is welcome in summer, while the open hills give fresh air and views all year.
