Dog parks in and near Albertslund

Albertslund lies west of Copenhagen, close to the large Vestskoven, a forest planted as a green breathing space for the capital area. The town is surrounded by woodland, bogs and open meadows, and green paths are easy to reach straight from the residential areas. That makes everyday dog walks easy and varied.

In and around Albertslund there are several woodland dog parks and fenced dog parks. Vestskoven in particular stands out, with large areas of woodland, a fenced dog area and open woodland. Vestskoven ved Ejby, which is fenced, and the dog park east of Harrestrup Mose are ideal for long walks, while a fenced dog run nearby gives you an alternative. Several places have room for play, and a few have agility.

Although Albertslund is inland, Køge Bugt (Køge Bay) is a short distance away, with an official dog beach where your dog may swim and run off-lead all year round, under control. On ordinary beaches dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March. Always keep your dog under control by the water.
