Dog parks in and near Ballerup

Ballerup lies west of Copenhagen between the large Hareskove woods and Vestskoven. The town has green wedges and woodland close to the homes, so nature is easy to reach from most of town. That makes Ballerup a convenient place to have an active dog.

In and around Ballerup you will find several dog parks with woodland floor, shade and long paths. The Hareskove woods, with Store Hareskov and Jonstrup Vang, are among the large ones, while a dog run in Skovlunde and several fenced dog areas offer fenced options closer to town. A few places also have agility for dogs keen on training.

Ballerup is inland, so the woods and green wedges rather than the coast take centre stage. The large woodland areas around the town give shelter and shade and plenty of room for long walks all year round. At a local bathing lake your dog can also join you in the water, as long as it is kept under control.
