Østerhøj Hundeløbegård

Østerhøj Hundeløbegård is a fenced off-leash area in the Østerhøj neighbourhood of Ballerup. The dog park covers 0.5 hectares, which is 5,000 m². To put it in perspective, that is just under three quarters of a standard football pitch, giving reasonable room for daily exercise and a good run. The whole area is fenced and fitted with fixed gates, so dogs can safely run free, sniff and play off-lead. As at Ballerup Municipality's other dog parks, it is an absolute requirement that you have full control of your dog and can call it back to you at any time. There is no public car park. The nearest place to leave your car is Østerhøjvej; follow the parking rules and respect the signs where parking is for residents of the area only. When your visit to the fenced dog area is over and you head out onto the surrounding paths and residential roads, your dog must always be on a lead, out of consideration for other people and animals in the area.
