Dog parks in and near Bagsværd

Bagsværd lies north-west of Copenhagen (København) on the shore of Bagsværd Sø and close to the large Hareskovene (the Hareskov woods). The town combines suburban life with easy access to woods, lake and green paths. That makes everyday dog walks both easy and scenic.

In and around Bagsværd you'll find several woodland dog parks and fenced dog parks with forest floor and shade. Hareskovene with Store Hareskov and Jonstrup Vang offer large woodland areas and long paths, while a fenced dog area in Skovlunde gives you a fenced option and Geelsskov Hundeskov (not fenced) is another choice. Several places have room to play, and a few have agility.

There are several lakes around Bagsværd, including Bagsværd Sø, where your dog can come down to the water with you. At the lakes your dog must be kept under control and often on a lead, out of consideration for bathers and birdlife. Otherwise, the large woods around the town offer plenty of long, varied walks all year round.
