    About Træbanken

Træbanken is a small, easy-to-oversee, fully fenced dog area in Hjortespring in the northern part of Herlev Municipality (postal address 2880 Bagsværd). It is part of the protected nature and bog area Smør- og Fedtmosen, the largest continuous green space in the municipality. The dog area itself covers about 3,200 m² (roughly 80 x 40 metres), making it a manageable and safe place to let your dog run free off-lead. The dog area sits in a cosy, fairly dense woodland edge with medium-high grass and plenty of bushes and trees, giving dogs lots of exciting scents to explore. The ground is mostly flat, but it can get very soft in wet periods. Note that the fenced area is hidden among the trees and not marked from the road, so it can be a little hard for first-time visitors to find. Despite its modest size, the dog area has good, practical facilities. Inside the fence there is a fixed picnic table with benches plus an extra bench where owners can rest during the walk. There is also an outdoor water point just outside the fence, kept open outside the winter season, so it is easy to fill the dog bowl with fresh water. Herlev Municipality has put up a special bin for compostable dog waste bags right on site. If you come by car, there is no official car park right by the fence, but you can park along Gråpilevej (near number 24) in the lay-bys or gravel areas there. Driving along Klausdalsbrovej and turning into Gråpilevej, the dog area is hidden on the left. You enter through a red gate in the fence, just past the house at Gråpilevej 18, where a small path leads the last stretch away from the road into the woodland edge. If you want a longer outing, the surrounding protected Smør- og Fedtmosen is a wonderful setting for a longer walk - but there your dog must always be on a lead.

Har fundet den. Tak for at plotte gpskoordinaterne ind. Superdejligt sted.

Tak for hjælp. Vh
