Dog parks in and near Holte

Holte lies in green North Zealand between Furesø and the large state forests, just a stone's throw from both lake and woodland edge. The area is known for its beech woods, lakeshores and hilly paths, and classic natural gems such as Rude Skov and Geels Skov are close by. For dog owners, it is hard to find a lusher place for a walk.

In and around Holte there are several popular woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks with tall broadleaf trees and good path networks. Geelsskov Hundeskov and Bistrup Hegn Hundeskov (both not fenced) give shade and shelter under the treetops, while Kollekollevej Hundefold is a fenced dog park where your dog can run off-lead. In several places there is plenty of room for both long runs and calm training close to town.

Even though Holte is not by the sea, there is plenty of water in the landscape - Furesø and the smaller woodland lakes make a lovely setting for your walk and a cool spot for your dog on hot days. The beech woods around town stay green for most of the year and invite long walks whatever the season. Here it is woodland, lakes and peace that make the experience.
