Baunesletten fritløbsområde

Baunesletten fritløbsområde covers part of the green spaces on Baunesletten, south of Farum Sø between the S-train line and Nørrevænget. What sets this official dog-walking area apart is that the open natural area, with large grassy plains, woodland and marshland, is not fenced at all. Instead, the area is bounded naturally by the railway to the south and a cattle fence to the north. Information posts and signs clearly mark where the off-lead zone runs. Within this marked area dogs may run off-lead around the clock, provided the owner has full control of the dog at all times. The off-leash area (not fenced) has lovely walking paths and lakes where dogs can also go for a swim. Outside the dog plain, for example in the neighbouring woodland, dogs must always be on a lead.
