Dog parks in and near Allerød

Allerød lies in the middle of densely wooded North Zealand, surrounded by some of the region's finest deciduous woods. With Tokkekøb Hegn, Uggeløse Skov and Bistrup Hegn on the doorstep, there is greenery on all sides, and nature is a short distance from almost anywhere in town. It is one of the best places on Zealand to have a dog that loves the woods.

In and around Allerød you will find several woodland dog parks and fenced dog parks with woodland floor, shade and long paths. Bistrup Hegn and Tokkekøb Hegn (not fenced) are among the large and popular ones, while Lillevang Hundepark and a private dog park offer fenced options if you want to let your dog run off-lead in a bounded area. Several places also have agility for active dogs.

Allerød is inland, so here the woods and lakes rather than the coast take centre stage. At one of the area's bathing lakes your dog can join you in the water, but keep it under control and be considerate of other visitors. Otherwise, the woods around the town offer plenty of long, varied walks all year round.
