Dog parks in and near Birkerød

Birkerød lies in the middle of green North Zealand, where woods and lakes shape the landscape. Around the town you will find large broadleaf woods, bogs and lake shores, and a good place to walk your dog is rarely far away. That makes everyday walks both varied and easy to get to.

In and around Birkerød there are a handful of woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks within a short distance. Several of them offer woodland and shade, and a few have agility equipment where your dog can get some exercise. Among others, take a look at Bistrup Hegn Hundeskov and Geelsskov Hundeskov, both not fenced, which give plenty of room to run off-lead among the trees.

Although Birkerød is not on the coast, there is plenty of water nearby. Lakes such as Sjælsø and Furesø are close by, and the surrounding woods give shelter and shade all year round. Here you can enjoy long woodland walks with your dog whatever the season.
