Dog parks in Roskilde Municipality (Roskilde Kommune)

Roskilde Municipality spreads around the head of Roskilde Fjord, with the historic cathedral town, rolling farmland and woods reaching right down to the fjord's shores. The mix of fjord landscape, woodland and green spaces close to town gives dog owners a varied network of routes. Water or woodland is rarely far away.

Roskilde Municipality has a good handful of dog parks spread across its towns, including the fenced Boserup Skov by the fjord and the dog parks at Gulddysse and Lynghøjsøerne. Several sites have fenced dog areas and room for agility and play. The fenced Gadstrup hundelegeplads is an option close to town and close to home.

Boserup Skov follows the fjord coast, and in several places you can combine a woodland walk with a walk along the water. Do mind the beach rules, though: on ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. There is no official dog beach in the municipality, so keep your dog on a lead by the fjord in summer.
