Dog parks in Køge Municipality (Køge Kommune)

Køge Municipality lies on the east coast of Zealand, with Køge Bugt as a blue edge to the east and a lush hinterland of woods, river valleys and fields to the west. From Køge town to Borup and Bjæverskov there are green areas everywhere, and good connections make it easy to get out with your dog.

The municipality has a handful of dog parks and fenced dog parks spread between the towns. The fenced Borup Hundeskov and Møllebakkeskoven offer woodland and shade, while Lellinge Hundeskov lies close to Køge.

Several places have fenced dog areas with room for play and agility, and there is also a private dog park at Tureby, so both the daily walk and play with other dogs are covered.

To the east, Køge Bugt draws you in with long beaches and coastal meadows made for walking. Mind the rules: on ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control.

Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round, so keep it on a lead by the water in summer.
