Dog parks in Solrød Municipality (Solrød Kommune)

Solrød Municipality lies on Køge Bugt (Køge Bay) south of Copenhagen, with a mix of seaside residential areas, open fields and smaller woods. The short distance to both coast and green spaces makes the municipality convenient for daily walks with your dog. Here you can easily switch between park, woodland and long routes along the bay.

Solrød Municipality has a handful of dog parks, including Karlstrup Skov by Karlstrup Kalkgrav and the dog park at Solrød Strand. Engstrup Mose is also one of them. The woods offer shade and plenty of space where your dog can run off-lead under control among the trees.

Køge Bugt Strandpark has plenty of room for long walks, but mind the beach rules: on ordinary beaches, dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. There is no official dog beach in the municipality, so keep your dog on a lead by the water in summer.
