Dog parks in and near Jyllinge

Jyllinge has a charming setting on Roskilde Fjord north of Roskilde, where the old fishing village meets the water and the green woods inland. The town combines fjord-side nature with woodland and open fields, and both the fjord path and the edge of the woods are close by. That gives dog owners a varied choice of outings right on the doorstep.

In and around Jyllinge you will find several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks. Boserup Skov (fenced) and Frederikssund Hundeskov in Grønlien offer shady woodland with good paths down towards the fjord, while Gulddysse Hundeskov is a fenced dog park where your dog can run free off-lead.

Sperrestrup Skov and several other places have room for both long walks and calm training in green surroundings.

Roskilde Fjord invites you to walk along the water, but remember the lead rules on ordinary beaches: from 1 April to 30 September your dog must be on a lead, and only from 1 October to 31 March may it run free - always under control.

Swimming and running free all year require an official dog beach. Otherwise the fjord paths and nearby woods offer plenty of options for the rest of the year.
