Dog parks in West Zealand (Vestsjælland)

West Zealand (Vestsjælland) is a green, varied region with rolling farmland, broadleaf woods, lakes and a long coastline facing fjords and Storebælt (the Great Belt). The landscape alternates between quiet woodland, open fields and scenic stretches of coast, and the many paths make the area ideal for long dog walks. There is plenty of space and peace to enjoy nature with your dog.

In West Zealand you will find a good choice of woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks, many with trees and shade, and several offer agility and a puppy area. Kongskilde hundeskov near Sorø and Høve Skov are among the dog parks with plenty of room for play and exercise. Several of the parks are fenced, so your dog can safely run off-lead in the fenced dog area.

With coastline facing fjords and Storebælt, there are good opportunities for beach walks, and the region has a designated dog beach. On ordinary beaches, dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on the official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round.
