Frølunde Fed Strand - hundestrand

Frølunde Fed Strand, north-east of Korsør, has a stretch set aside as a dog beach, where dogs can be off-lead all year round. On ordinary beaches dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September, so this is a real advantage in the summer months. The view over the Great Belt (Storebælt) is the highlight. But be prepared for the ground: there are quite a lot of stones at the water's edge, and dogs that run a lot can hurt their paws. Seaweed also collects on the beach at times, and after a storm it can lie in large heaps. If your dog likes to swim, it's worth knowing in advance - this is not a swimming beach with a soft sandy bottom. The area is not fenced, so as on all dog beaches and dog parks, your dog must come back when called. There is no water point, no benches and no bins. Access is free, and the beach is run by Slagelse Municipality. Korsør is 7 km away, Slagelse 10 km and Skælskør 15 km.
