Høve Skov

Høve Skov runs right down to Sejerø Bugt, and the combination of woodland and beach is what makes the place special. In the dog park in Høve Skov your dog can run off-lead in both. The dog park is not large, but it is unusually varied: steep hills, a stream and a good network of paths through hilly terrain. There are lots of trees, so you get shade on hot days and shelter when it rains. Horse riders also use the woods. The beach below is long with a lovely view, but the ground is stony, with quite a lot of seaweed on the sand. If your dog chases balls, the woods are the better choice - the stones are hard on paws. There is a picnic table with benches, a fire pit and parking for about five cars. Be aware that the road down to the beach and the woods comes up suddenly on a sharp bend from Høve Stræde - follow the signs for Høve Strand. Access is free, and the woods are run by Naturstyrelsen (the Danish Nature Agency). Fårevejle is 6 km away.
