Ugerløse Kirkeskov Hundegård

Ugerløse Kirkeskov Hundegård is a fenced off-lead area north of Ugerløse, halfway between Holbæk and Sorø. The fenced dog area is part of Ugerløse Kirkeskov, a green new-woodland project planted in 2015 on former vicarage land. If you come by car, the obvious choice is the parking on the other side of Brændholtvej 7. From there, paths lead to the fenced dog area. The fully fenced dog area lets your dog run safely and exercise off-lead. It is run and developed by the local Ugerløse Skovlaug (woodland association), which keeps improving the wood's facilities. A visit to Ugerløse Kirkeskov Hundegård is well worth extending with a walk, dog on a lead, in the rest of the church wood. The paths are gradually being upgraded with a firm gravel surface to make getting around easy. As a local, sustainable touch, some paths are also covered with wood chips made from recycled spruce from the town's churchyard.
