Dog parks in and near Hårlev

Hårlev lies centrally in south-east Zealand, in the landscape between the open fields of Stevns and the many small woods and bogs of the Faxe and Vordingborg area. The town is surrounded by quiet country roads, farmland and scattered broadleaf woods, and both Stevns Klint and the coast on Køge Bugt are close by. That makes Hårlev a good starting point for long, varied dog walks in changing scenery.

In and around Hårlev you will find a handful of dog parks covering a wider area towards Stevns, Faxe and Møn. Several of them are proper woodland dog parks with shade and shelter under the trees, while others are more open areas, and a private dog park (for hire) gives extra peace of mind for a nervous dog. Just drive a little south to the fenced Karise Hundeskov or Dalby Hundeskov, where there is plenty of room to play and run.

Hårlev is close to both the Stevns coast and Køge Bugt, so a trip to the beach is easy to fit in. Remember that on ordinary beaches dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under full control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year, so check the signs before the lead comes off.
