Rønnebæk Hundeskov - Vest

Rønnebæk Hundeskov Vest is a newly built fenced area of about one hectare, a hundred by a hundred metres, in a new woodland near Næstved. It stands out in one way: there are gravel paths all the way round, and the area is registered as suitable for people with limited mobility and wheelchair users. That is rare for dog parks, where the ground is usually soft woodland floor. Mind the access. Coming from Præstøvej, you have to go down steps to reach the gate. Instead, drive to the gravel road north of the dog park, where there is parking for about ten cars. There is a puppy area for the little ones and a bin at the entrance. There is no water point, toilet or benches, so bring water. Entry is free, and Rønnebæk Hundeskov Vest is run by Naturstyrelsen (the Danish Nature Agency). Næstved is 2 km away.
