Dog parks on Langeland

On Langeland a gentle, hilly landscape stretches from north to south, framed by coast on both sides. Lush fields, small woods and hedgerows alternate with views over Storebælt (the Great Belt) and Det Sydfynske Øhav (the South Funen Archipelago). It's a long, narrow island with plenty of space and long, quiet routes that are made for dog walks.

The island's dog parks let your dog sniff and run among broadleaf trees and scrub. In Vestervænge Hundeskov and the woodland near Rudkøbing there's plenty of space and shade when the sun is high. These are friendly dog parks where locals meet, and where puppies and adult dogs can stretch their legs in safe surroundings.

Langeland's coast offers both stony beaches and fine bathing bays with views over the archipelago. On ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round, so check the signs before heading to the water.
