Skibhøj Hundeskov

The dog park at Skibhøj is a large and inviting off-lead area in Esbjerg, on the site also known for hosting Grøn Koncert. It replaces the former dog park at Baggesens Allé and offers a really good setting for play, safety and exploring. The whole site covers just under 1.5 hectares (about 14,900 square metres) and stands out for being thoughtfully divided into three separate fenced areas for different needs: Puppy area: A safe, dedicated area of about 1,400 square metres, where the smallest dogs and puppies can play and socialise at their own pace without being knocked over. Middle area: A fenced area of about 4,000 square metres for all dogs, with plenty of space for daily exercise and play. Nature area: The largest fenced area at a full 9,500 square metres, containing an old, overgrown gravel pit. This makes a fantastic natural sniffing environment for more adventurous dogs that love exploring the forest floor. Parking is available near the site. Although the fence sets the physical limits, the basic rule for dog parks still applies: you must always have full control of your dog and be able to call it back at any time. When your visit is over and you leave the fenced areas to move on, your dog must always be on a lead out of consideration for other visitors.
