Dog parks on Lolland

Lolland is Denmark's flat, fertile breadbasket, where wide fields, old tree-lined avenues and quiet woods shape the landscape. Along the south coast lie salt meadows and dykes, and inland you will find peaceful lakes around Maribo. It is friendly, open country with long, straight paths that are ideal for relaxed walks with your dog.

Lolland has a handful of dog parks, both woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks, spread across the whole island. In the fenced Maribo Hundeskov your dog can run free among the trees, while Rødbyhavn Hundepark and Nysted Hundepark are safe, fenced dog parks. Several places have agility equipment and room for puppies, too, to play and learn in safe surroundings.

Lolland's south coast has long sandy beaches behind its characteristic dykes. On ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round, so look for the sign before you let go of the lead.
