Dog parks on Møn
On Møn you'll find a total of 3 dog parks, city dog parks and off-leash areas (not fenced) for your dog. All 3 are fenced and 2 allow swimming.
On Møn, the white chalk cliffs of Møns Klint tower over the Baltic Sea as one of Denmark's most dramatic natural areas. Behind the cliffs lies the lush Klinteskov with beech trees, orchids and deep ravines, and the island also offers hills, salt meadows and an unusually dark starry sky. It is a magnificent landscape where a walk with your dog becomes a small experience in itself.
Møn's dog parks are in idyllic settings and give your dog room to sniff and run on the woodland floor. Stege Hundeskov (fenced) and the dog park in Borre offer shade and quiet paths, while Damme Hundeeng has an open, fenced grassy area for play. These are cosy dog areas where local dogs meet all year round.
Møn's coastline ranges from chalk-white cliffs to fine bathing beaches along the south coast. On ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round, so keep an eye on the signs before you go into the water.
