Dog parks in and near Klampenborg

Klampenborg lies on Øresund north of Copenhagen (København), squeezed between the blue water and perhaps Denmark's most famous forest, Dyrehaven. With a seaside promenade, old broadleaf trees and open plains, it offers an exceptional setting for a walk with your dog just outside the city.

In and around Klampenborg there are several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks within a short distance. Parts of Jægersborg Dyrehave, including Ordrup Krat, offer extensive nature with old oaks and wildlife, while Bernstorffparken and Charlottenlund Slotshave offer parkland closer to town.

Note that dogs must be on a lead in Dyrehaven itself, while the designated dog parks give more freedom under control.

Bellevue Strand and the coast along the Øresund are just a few steps away, but on the ordinary beach your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year. Outside the bathing season, the coastal path is a lovely route for long, breezy walks by the water.
