Dog parks in and near Skodsborg

Skodsborg lies right on Øresund north of Copenhagen (København), beautifully squeezed between the coast and the large forests at Jægersborg. Here you have both a seaside promenade and deep beech forest within walking distance. That makes Skodsborg a privileged place to have a dog, with sea and forest side by side.

In and around Skodsborg you will find several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks in the classic forests of North Zealand (Nordsjælland). Skodsborgtrekanten in Jægersborg Hegn and Trørød Hegn Hundeskov offer forest and shade for off-lead runs, and Rundforbi Hundepark offers a fenced area for play and training. The old forests offer large, continuous areas close to the town.

With the Øresund as a neighbour, a walk along the water is a natural part of life in Skodsborg. On ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may it swim and run off-lead all year round, so keep an eye on the signs along the coast.
