Charlottenlund Slot og Slotshave

Charlottenlund Slotspark and Charlottenlund Skov form one connected area of 83 hectares between Charlottenlund Station, Strandvejen and Travbanen (the trotting track). The wood is designated as a dog park. It is a well-kept park rather than wild nature - old trees, a small lake and a thatched house - and it lies in the middle of town with a station within walking distance. That makes it well suited to the daily long walk. Your dog may be off-lead in the wood, provided it is under full control. In the palace park, dogs must be on a lead by Graverdam, the perennial bed and the bulb lawn, where this is signposted. There is a toilet, benches and rubbish bins. There is parking in several places in the area, including by the former Danmarks Akvarium, from where you can enter both the palace park and the wood. Entry is free, and the wood is run by Naturstyrelsen (the Danish Nature Agency). Charlottenlund is 1 km away, Klampenborg 2 km and Søborg 5 km.
