Dog parks in and near Frederiksberg

Frederiksberg is a green town in the middle of the capital, known for its parks, tree-lined avenues and gardens. Although it is densely built up, a green oasis is never far away, and with Copenhagen's beaches, commons and woods a short distance away, the town's dogs have plenty of room to stretch their legs.

In and around Frederiksberg you will find a wide choice of fenced dog parks and woodland dog areas - from fenced dog playgrounds in town to larger woods outside it. Søndermarken and the fenced dog area in Fælledparken are close by, while Kongelunden Hundeskov and Vestskoven offer woodland and open country a little further out.

Several of the areas have agility and areas for puppies, so there is something for every dog.

From Frederiksberg it is a short way to the Øresund coast and Copenhagen's beaches. On the official dog beaches your dog may swim and run free all year, while on ordinary beaches it must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March - always under control. At Amager Strand and the other stretches of coast there is plenty of room for a bracing walk by the water.
