Søndermarken Frederiksberg

Søndermarken in Frederiksberg has a large off-leash area (not fenced) where your dog can run freely. The most important thing to know first: the off-leash area is not fenced. Signs show where the off-leash zone starts and ends, but there is no fence around the dog park, so your dog must come back when called. If your dog tends to run off, this is not the place. On the other hand, there is plenty of space: a full 8.2 hectares, the equivalent of 12 football pitches. It is one of the largest off-leash areas this close to Copenhagen (København), and there are usually lots of dogs and a good atmosphere - it is a place where you meet others. At Bjælkehuset, facing Valby Langgade, you can buy coffee and food, so your outing can be more than just a walk with the dog. Please follow the signs out of consideration for families with children and visitors who are not comfortable around dogs, especially in summer. There are benches and rubbish bins. Access is free. Frederiksberg centre is 1 km away, Copenhagen (København) 3 km and Vanløse 3 km.
