Charagons Hundecenter offers two lovely areas - Marken (the Field) and Skoven (the Forest) - which you can hire exclusively for you and your household. The place is run by Joanna and lies in beautiful countryside in Southern Jutland (Sønderjylland), centrally placed between Haderslev, Vojens and Kolding. Here on Kestrupvej there is plenty of opportunity to let your dog run off-lead, train or simply enjoy nature in safe, fenced surroundings. The larger area is Skoven, which covers 2.5 hectares. It is fully fenced and kept locked with a code lock, so you have Skoven entirely to yourselves and avoid unexpected meetings with other dogs. It is therefore important to remember to lock the gate behind you during your visit. The code for the gate is sent to you automatically before your visit. Skoven has a good network of paths and a clearing with a small shelter, which makes it perfect for puppy training, area searches, scent work or a relaxing break in the deep quiet of the woods. The car park for Skoven is on the corner of Kestrupvej and Tovskovvej and is easy to spot close to the viaduct. A single 60-minute visit to Skoven costs DKK 50 for the household, and regular visitors can buy a 10-visit punch card for DKK 450. If you prefer a more open landscape, you can visit Marken, which covers about 1 hectare. This fenced area is right next to the farm itself at Kestrupvej 15. Marken is set up with paths, long grass, a wide variety of wild flowers and a small area with balance equipment and tunnels for activities. A special detail: dogs are fully allowed to dig for mice in Marken, as long as they do not do it on the paths or right up by the balance equipment. Marken can be booked for a 30-minute visit for DKK 30 per household, and a 10-visit punch card here costs DKK 250. In both areas the rule is, of course, that you must pick up after your dog.
