Hørup Skov Hundefold

In the state forest Hørup Skov south of Slangerup there is a fenced dog area of 1.5 hectares, a little over two football pitches. Here your dog can run freely inside the fence while you walk along or keep an eye on it from the edge. Even though the area is fenced, the general off-lead rules of Naturstyrelsen (the Danish Nature Agency) apply: you must have control of your dog at all times and be able to call it back, and it must not disturb other visitors, dogs or wildlife. A dog that cannot do this must be on a lead. There is no tap in the fenced dog area, so bring water for your dog. No rubbish bin is recorded either, so take your bags home. About 50 m from the fenced dog area there is a picnic table with benches. The fenced dog area is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Entry is free, and it is run by Naturstyrelsen Nordsjælland.
