Dog parks in and near Assens

Assens lies on Lillebælt (the Little Belt) on the west coast of Funen, where coastal landscape, woodland and fields meet. The town is close to both the water and several woodland areas, which gives your dog walks lovely variety. The Belt, the beach and quiet woodland paths are all within reach.

In and around Assens you will find several dog parks with woodland floor and shade. Assens hundeskov ved Brunebjerg is close to town, while Feddet ved Brydegård offers nature near the coast, and a private dog park adds to the public woods. Several places have agility and puppy-friendly areas, so there is room for both play and training.

On Lillebælt there is an official dog beach where your dog may swim and run off-lead all year round, under control. On ordinary beaches, however, dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March. Always keep full control of your dog by the water.
