Dog parks in and near Tommerup

Tommerup is in the middle of Funen in a lush landscape of woods, lakes and rolling fields. There are woodland areas in several directions, and both Odense and the west Funen coast are within reach. That makes the town a good base for varied dog walks.

In and around Tommerup you will find many dog parks with plenty of room to play and run. Sollerup Hundeskov (fenced) by Arreskov Sø and Assens Hundeskov are among the favourites, and there are several fenced areas with agility. The woodland gives shade, and there is a safe setting for both puppies and young dogs learning to be off-lead.

To the west, the Funen coast is within reach if you want to head for the water. On an official dog beach your dog may swim and run off-lead all year, while on ordinary beaches it must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. At the inland lakes your dog can also cool off where this is allowed.
