Højby Hundeskov

Højby Hundeskov is a fenced off-lead area in the southern part of Odense, close to Højby. This dog park measures about 0.7 hectares, which is 7,000 m2. To put the size in perspective, that is exactly the same area as a single international football pitch. It is laid out in young woodland with a mix of growing trees and open grass, giving dogs a good combination of denser vegetation to sniff in and open spaces to race around. Paths have been trodden through the fenced area, making it easy for owners to walk along while the dogs socialise and play. As the ground is natural surface and grass, it can become soft and uneven in wet periods. Facilities include a rubbish bin at the entrance for dog bags, so it is easy to keep the area clean. It is also easy to visit by car, as there is a small gravel car park right by the entrance to the fence, making access quick.
