Blangstedgård Hundeskov

Blangstedgård Hundeskov is a fenced dog park of about 9,500 m², a little more than one football pitch. It lies in Kohaveskoven by Blangstedgård in Odense SØ (south-east Odense), where Lindved Å bends, and is run by Odense Municipality. It is a small, quiet and peaceful dog park in beautiful countryside on the edge of the city. The fenced area has two kinds of terrain. One half is low trees and scrub where your dog can sniff and hunt for mice, and the other half is open grass for playing and running. It can get muddy in wet spells. From the dog park there is a lovely view over the grazing land, often with horses, and over the woods and the stream. Inside the fence there is a spot with benches, a water post and a bin. There is one gate into the dog park. Dogs may run off-lead if supervised and able to get along with other dogs. If you're unsure about your dog, keep it on a lead. You reach the dog park along the paths from Herluf Trolles Vej and Stammen. There are only a few parking spaces along Herluf Trolles Vej, and parking on the cycle path is not allowed. From the end of the road a path crosses the stream and runs along the water to the entrance, a short and pretty walk. The dog park is not suitable for wheelchairs. Kohaveskoven has a good network of paths, well worth a walk afterwards with your dog on a lead. There are roe deer and foxes in the woods, and there is a woodland burial ground in the middle of the forest, so please be considerate there. If you want more room to run, Seden Hundeskov, about 5 ha, is around 4 km away.
