Dog parks in and near Hanstholm

Hanstholm lies at the far edge of Thy on the Danish North Sea coast, in the middle of Nationalpark Thy (Thy National Park) with its wild dunes, dune plantations and rugged coastline. The nature here is magnificent and vast - perfect for dog owners who want to get out into the raw landscape of West Jutland.

For Hanstholm we list woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks within a radius of the town. Vilsbøl Klitplantage Hundeskov and Østerild Klitplantage Hundeskov, both fenced, offer large, sheltered woodland areas in the dune landscape where your dog can run and sniff.

On the Danish North Sea coast you will find official dog beaches, including at Vigsø, where your dog may swim and run free among the dunes all year.

On ordinary beaches, however, it must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March, always under control.
