Dog parks in and near Løkken

Løkken faces the Danish North Sea coast on the west coast of North Jutland, famous for its wide sandy beach, white beach huts and high dunes. Behind the town, dune plantations and heath stretch out, so both sea and woodland are within reach.

In and around Løkken you will find several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks within a short distance. Tornby Klitplantage and Blokhus Klitplantage Hundeskov offer dunes, conifer forest and broad trails with plenty of shelter, while Hirtshals Hundepark gives you a fenced area for free play. Several places have room for agility, and there are also quieter fenced areas for puppies.

Løkken Strand is one of the best-known beaches in the country, but on the ordinary beach your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year, so check the signs at the beach access.

Outside the summer season the long west coast beach with its dunes is a unique setting for breezy walks.
