Tornby Klitplantage Hundeskov

You can enter Tornby Klitplantage Hundeskov from the car park partway along Rævskærvej, also known as Horsebækken car park. There are two additional gates in the fence, allowing you to continue your walk through the rest of the plantation if you want a longer route. Outside the enclosed area, you must keep your dog on a lead. Most of the trees in the dog park are Nordmann firs. Over time, the woodland is intended to become more varied, with a wider range of tree species of different ages. Naturstyrelsen (the Danish Nature Agency) therefore plans to plant other species gradually. Some trees are also growing naturally, and because roe deer are now kept outside the fence, these young trees have a chance to grow without being eaten.
