About Lundhede hundeskov - Sønderskoven
Lundhede Hundeskov (also known as Sønderskoven Hundeskov) is a lovely fenced dog park between Holstebro and Karup. It covers 6 hectares - roughly 8.5 football pitches - and offers an exciting, varied mix of trees and bushes, giving dogs plenty of natural impressions to explore. The area has good, established path systems that make it easy to walk round the varied nature while your dog runs free off-lead. The entrance to the dog park is marked with a green sign on the traditional wooden posts of Naturstyrelsen (the Danish Nature Agency), and a small bridge takes you safely over the ditch and straight into the wood. If you come by car, the parking has been updated so you can easily park right by the entrance. Use the Route button to get to the gravel car park on Gindeskovvej, right by the small bridge and the green dog park sign.

Hundeskoven er generelt meget flot anlagt, men der er hovedsageligt store hunde og som bekendt også kamphunde. De skal selvfølgelig også have deres frie løb og have det sjovt. Dette faktum er dog en urolig følese for hundeejer af små racer og hvalper og også en risikofaktor. Ingen ejer ønsker et slagsmål hvilken kan resultere i skader og dyrlægeomkostninger samt frygt for mennsker og dyr! Det ville give rigtig god mening, hvis bestemte tidspunter ( dage, morgener, eftermiddage osv.) blev specificeret, så alle involverede, små hunde, hvalpe, store hunde, kamphunde og selvfølgelig også hundeejer kunne have ingen stress og gratis sjov! Denne løsning ville helt sikkert være praktisk og gennemførlig for alle! Jeg har snakket med forskellige hundeejer om det her problem, og derfor har jeg taget initativ til at skrife til jer i hobet om at vi ejer af små hunde og hvalpe bliver hørt! Mvh Mikaela

Den bedste hundeskov, med hyggeligt samvær for både hunde og ejere. Der er stor respekt og imødekommenhed overfor nye hunde. Kan på det varmeste anbefale stedet. Følg evt “Hundetræf Vodskov” for at være sikker på at træffe andre hunde i skoven.
