Dog parks in Bispebjerg

Bispebjerg is in north Copenhagen and also includes Nordvest and Emdrup. To the south is Nørrebro, to the east Østerbro and to the west Brønshøj. With Lersøparken, Bispebjerg Kirkegård and Utterslev Mose right next door, there are plenty of green routes to walk with your dog.

In Bispebjerg you will find three dog parks and off-leash areas. The off-leash area at Jeppes Allé, also called Fritløbsområdet på Bjerget, is a large lawn where there are often lots of dogs, but it is not fenced. By Haveforeningen Emdrupvænge there is an off-leash area of about two hectares, which is not fenced either, and along Lersøparken there is a narrow off-leash area (not fenced).

If your dog needs a proper dog wood (hundeskov), Ermelunden Hundeskov in Jægersborg Dyrehave lies to the north and Store Hareskov to the north-west. If you want a fenced dog park nearby, Nørrebroparken and Trianglen store hundegård i Fælledparken are close.

On the official dog beaches, such as the off-leash area (not fenced) at Amager Strand, your dog may swim and run off-lead all year under control. On ordinary beaches it must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March.
