Dog parks in Vanløse

Vanløse is in west Copenhagen, with Brønshøj and Husum to the north, Valby to the south and Frederiksberg to the east. Damhussøen, Damhusengen and Grøndalsparken bring water and greenery right into the district.

Vanløse has four dog parks and off-lead areas, and several of them are among the largest in Copenhagen. Damhusengen has two off-lead areas with a water point and benches, and in Grøndalsparken there is a fenced outdoor area of over three hectares.

In the northern part of Krogebjergparken there is an off-lead area of just over two and a half hectares, and by the campsite at Bellahøj there is a fenced area with room for puppies.

If your dog needs a proper woodland dog park, Vestskoven ved Oxbjerget is only a few kilometres to the west.

On the official dog beaches, such as the off-leash area at Amager Strand, your dog may swim and run free all year round under control. On ordinary beaches it must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March.
