Dog parks in Husum

Husum is on the far north-western edge of Copenhagen, with Brønshøj to the east and Vanløse to the south. To the west, Vestvolden forms the border with Herlev and Rødovre, and the old rampart gives a long green strip for walks along the neighbourhood.

In Husum you will find three dog parks, fenced dog areas and off-leash areas. Husumparken hundegård is a small fenced dog area with grass and shade from the trees, and Kobbelvænget hundegård by the path Husumforbindelsen is a small fenced off-leash area.

On Vestvolden at Fæstningsværk Kagsmosen there is an off-leash area (not fenced), where your dog can be off-lead on the walk along the rampart.

If your dog needs a proper woodland dog park, Vestskoven ved Oxbjerget is to the south-west and Store Hareskov to the north.

On the official dog beaches, such as the off-leash area at Amager Strand, your dog may swim and run free all year round under control. On ordinary beaches it must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March.
