Dog parks in Nørrebro

Nørrebro lies north-west of Indre By on the other side of Søerne (the Lakes). To the east is Østerbro, to the north Bispebjerg and to the south-west Frederiksberg.

The district is one of the most densely built-up in Copenhagen, but Nørrebroparken, Assistens Kirkegård (the cemetery) and the small squares offer green breaks in everyday life.

In Nørrebro you will find five fenced dog parks and fenced dog areas. Nørrebroparken has one of the district's largest fenced dog parks, with a water point and benches, and in the southern part of the park there is a smaller fenced dog area.

At Guldbergs Plads the fenced dog area is divided into one section for small dogs and one for large dogs, and there is a water point. In Thors Have there is a fenced dog run, and in Ågadeparken on the border with Frederiksberg there is a fenced area for off-lead running of about one hectare, with benches.

If your dog needs a proper dog wood, Ermelunden Hundeskov in Jægersborg Dyrehave to the north and Store Hareskov to the north-west are the nearest. For a slightly longer walk in the city, Fælledparken and Utterslev Mose are close by.

On the official dog beaches, such as the off-leash area (not fenced) at Amager Strand, your dog may swim and run off-lead all year under control, while on ordinary beaches it must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March.
