Dog parks in and near Nivå

Nivå lies on Øresund (the Sound) in North Zealand, a short way from the coast, woodland and the old palace gardens. Nivå Bugt and the nearby woods give a lovely combination of sea and nature for your dog walk.

In and around Nivå there are several woodland dog areas and dog parks a short distance away. Several are private or fenced with a safe setting, while woods such as Egebæksvang and Rungsted Hegn, which are not fenced, give space and shade.

Try Egebæksvang Skov (not fenced) or the dog wood in the Krogerup-skovene, close to the coast.

Along Øresund there is plenty of coast to explore with your dog. Be aware: on ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year.
