Dog parks in and near Fredensborg

Fredensborg is in North Zealand by Esrum Sø, surrounded by palace woods, lakes and rolling countryside. With old woodland close by and the Øresund coast a short distance away, there is plenty of green nature when your dog needs a walk. There are paths and woods in almost every direction from the town.

In and around Fredensborg you will find several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks with woods, shade and plenty of room. Egebæksvang Skov (not fenced) and the dog park in Frederiksborg Slotshave are among the places where your dog can go for a walk, and the woods Høbjerg Hegn (fenced) and Selskov (not fenced) are also within reach. Several of the woods are extensive and well suited to long walks.

Fredensborg is close to both Esrum Sø and the Øresund coast, so there is water in several directions. On North Zealand's beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March, always under control - only on official dog beaches may it swim and run free all year. By the lake and along the coast there is plenty of room for long walks outside the bathing season.
