Ølgod hundeskov

Ølgod Hundeskov is reached from Nr. Allé, with parking by the southern entrance. The dog park is part of Ølgod Plantage and Ølgod Byskov. It is a good, roomy 3.5 hectares (about 5 football pitches) with several different paths, giving dogs plenty of variety and new smells on the walk. There are two nice picnic tables where you can take a break while your dog explores. There are a couple of practical things to bear in mind, though. The ground is often damp, so sensible, waterproof footwear is a clear advantage. Nature is also left to look after itself, which means the paths can be quite overgrown for a while in summer. Most importantly, take extra care if you bring a very small dog. The fence does not reach the ground everywhere, and there is at least one known spot along the route where small dogs could slip under it.
