Sørvad Hundeskov

Sørvad Hundeskov is a fenced off-lead area in hilly terrain with a dense mix of woodland and scrub, in the town of Sørvad between Holstebro and Herning. The dog park covers 1.2 hectares, which is 12,000 m2. To put the size in perspective, that is roughly 1.7 football pitches. The dog park is especially suited to dogs that love using their nose and exploring the vegetation, as there are few open spaces but plenty of natural woodland to investigate. At the entrance, close to the car park at Skovvej 15, 7550 Sørvad, there are good facilities: a water tap with a water bowl and a small hut with a table and benches where you can take shelter. The fenced area has several self-closing gates, making it easy to combine off-lead play with a longer walk in the rest of the woods, as long as your dog is on a lead there. Because of the hilly terrain and wild nature, the area is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
